Logo Competition

DESIGN A LOGO FOR OUR USER GROUP!!

We need a snazzy logo for our blog and for our meeting announcements, etc. Submit as many entries as you want (via email to me). The deadline for entries is 5pm on February 25th (the day before our meeting). Entries must be in jpg, png, or bmp format.

Judging will be done by vote of the attendees at the user group meeting – whoever gets the most votes, wins the prize.

The prize is a Logitech Universal Remote valued at $100. See the link below to read all of the cool, geeky features:

Please don’t include any offensive graphics or copyrighted material (such as the SolidWorks logo) in your entry. Other than that, the contest is wide open. Feel free to design your logo using SolidWorks or not. The vote of the group is final.

Next Meeting

This is a preliminary announcement.

Our next meeting will be held on February 26th. The location is FLSmidth Minerals, 2850 South, Decker Lake Drive, SLC. We will publish more details (such as an agenda, driving directions, times, etc.) later.

As usual, there will be great prizes and food. Mike Spens from GoEngineer will be giving a presentation on Macros and programming in the SolidWorks API.

There is still plenty of time to complete the November Design Challenge!!

November Meeting

We had a fantastic meeting on November 12th. The meeting was held at the Ramada Inn in Salt Lake City.

As you can see, the turnout was great - over 50 people.

We had pizza from The Pie. We had awesome prizes including a Garmin GPS, Dewalt cordless Drill, Multifunction Printer, External Hard Drive, and MORE!

Phil Sluder, of Triaxial Design, flew in from San Diego to give his legendary tips and tricks presentation. This presentation is an annual fixture at SolidWorks World.

Everyone learned something from Phil and we were extremely lucky that he could come.
